Introduction
Hi, I'm Dan Potter, I have been DJ'ing events since I was 14 years old, now in my 40's I have almost 30 years of experience of reading crowds and playing party & dance anthems. In the past I have been resident DJ for an extremely busy wedding venue, one year alone I DJ'ed over 250 weddings & parties. I have tried to calculate the total number of events I have DJ'ed, I believe it to be 2500+ weddings and parties, so I'd like to think you're in safe hands with me!
As well as the aforementioned venue I have had numerous private clients over the years & I currently work with a team of DJs at Glow Events.

FAQ:
What music do you play at weddings/parties?
Mostly pop classics from 60's - today, anything you can sing and dance along with. 80's pop/dance is really popular as well as 90's dance anthems & modern R'n'B & chart music. A good mix is the key!
Can I give you a playlist?
I give all my clients a simple form to complete which covers musical taste, I ask for a certain number of song as a guide but prefer not to have a really long list of music, it is good read the crowd & be flexible on the day/evening.
Do you supply your own equipment?
Yes I do, from lighting, speakers & DJ controls I have the lot. My equipment is fairly compact & suitable for most venues up to about 150 people.
How far do you travel?
If I can drive there I'll come! Obviously the price will increase the further away.
I'm based in the south of England.

How long do you take to set up?
I usually take an hour, It's always handy to have parking arranged right by the venue (stage) doors.
How does the payment work?
I ask for a 20% deposit & the balance is due two weeks before the event.
Can we have a chat before the event?
Yes, platforms like Zoom have made video calls really easy, I recommend a quick chat ahead of your event.
Which songs typically gets people on the dance floor?
It really depends on the crowd & individual taste, but looking at my DJ software these are my top ten most played...

Yes, I'm confident using the mic.
Do you offer Karaoke?
No I don't offer this service.
What happens if you are ill on the day of our event?
I will do everything I can to arrange cover at short notice. To date I have not left a client without a DJ for their event.
