December 2023

December is always an action packed month for DJs - fondly known as the silly season, there is always plenty of work to be done. 

I attended an equal amount of weddings & Christmas parties so it was a really nice balance for me. For the first time in quite a few years I chose to work on New Years Eve! 

A few highlights from December - 

• Fran & Jake's wedding reception & party at Storyteller in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. This was a long day but very enjoyable. They had a late morning wedding ceremony in the town and arrived back at Storyteller around 1pm. I was playing background music for the afternoon and I supplied a wireless mic for their speeches and announcements. I then had a break late afternoon/early evening while they enjoyed live music. I then kicked off the party around 7.30pm and went on until midnight. The party did thin out a little towards the end, this was to be expected as it was a long day for all, but the vibes were great which made it an awesome party.

• on New Years Eve I DJ'd a wedding at The Orangery in Maidstone, Kent. I attended the evening on behalf of the venue management Glow Events who manage a few venues in Kent. I've had the privilege of working with them for a while now. This wedding was full on - excess of 150 guests in the evening. I performed alongside a great band [The Alleycatz] who rocked the party! I was given the great task of counting down into the new year and finishing the party off in style. It really was a great wedding and NYE party in one!
